Southside 2-Alarm

Birmingham Fire & Rescue

Birmingham firefighters responded to a 2-Alarm fire on 10th Avenue South, across from Magnolia Park, on July 28. The 2-story wood frame structure sustained 100% fire damage, with exposures on both sides sustaining 50% fire damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Hey Dave, Homewood has opened their new Station 1 behind the shed they had it in after they closed Old City Hall. It is now on 29th Ave. I would have got you some pictures, but my camera broke. Thought I'd let you know so you could go grab some and update everyone. It looks beautiful.

I like the statement: "The cause of the fire is under investigation." However, as many of us can assume, the fire was caused by someone passing-out and dropping their crack pipe.
