Birmingham Fire & Rescue
Birmingham Fire & Rescue held the grand opening ceremony for their newest station, station 10/22, yesterday morning. The new station is located in the 4400 block of 5th Avenue, South.
Companies housed at the new station include:
- Engine 10
- Heavy Rescue 10
- Engine 22
- Rescue 22

Leave it to Birmingham to screw the pooch on the station design. The bay on the far left as you look at the pictures is out of service due to the grade of the driveway. What a bunch of screw offs.
Yeah that was a very poor location and design for a fire station. 22 needed a new station, but 10 was the Company that got shafted.....
No more privacy, fire place, carpet floors, or tradition......
