Honored - Humbled - Thankful

Birmingham Firefighters Association Local 117

Tuesday night, I was asked to stop by the Union Meeting for the Birmingham Firefighters Association Local 117. I have a lot of friends there and was eager to pay a visit. I had no idea exactly what I was in for.

At the end of the meeting, I was asked to come forward and was presented with a beautiful shadow box with a chrome plated axe inside. The axe has an emblem of the Local 117 mounted on the head. The plaque inside reads,

Presented to Dave '911' Sibley
Honorary Member
Birmingham Firefighters Association
Local 117

I really appreciate the high honor, kind words and friendship of everyone at the 117! Thank you all!

Thank you for taking the pictures, Summer!

Thank you all for the kind words and emails! I appreciate every one of them. There would be no "dave911" without the dedicated work of the men and women who put their lives on the line day-in and day-out with little or no thanks. I just hope my site makes them all know that people do notice and that they are appreciated.

Stay safe and God bless you all!
