New BFRS Rescue Boat

Birmingham Fire & Rescue

A local company donated an inflatable rescue boat, with an outboard engine, which is now in service with 1's Heavy Rescue. Below are a few pictures from East Lake Park when Birmingham Fire & Rescue demonstrated this latest piece of equipment added to their arsenal of life saving tools for the media.

That thing is awesome! I wish out department had one. It's hard trying to pull someone up over the side of our aluminum fishing boat.
