Irondale House Fire

Cherry Brook Run

Irondale responded to a residential fire alarm on Cherry Brook Run. When they got there, smoke was showing.

They laid 2 lines.

Mountain Brook responded Ladder 1 for mutual aide.

Irondale's Engine 1, Engine 2, Company 1, Fire Investigator and Chief were on the scene when I was there. Also, Mountain Brook's Ladder 1, Engine 3 and Shift Commander.

No one wants to have their house catch on fire but it sure looked like Irondale did a great job of stopping it. Fortunately, the ladder didn't have to go up.

I heard my old buddy from Birmingham, Payne, on the radio. I looked for you but couldn't find you, Buddy. Maybe next time...
